Yes, I’m the one with the paint colour and brush direction, and yet I’m not. I’m not necessarily the one saying: I’m going to make a river here and a tree there.

I’m the one who looks at what shows up within it all and says: ahhh that looks like it’s a horse’s face, a dove, a row of birch trees, and proceed from there.

It’s a mystery unfolding.

It’s magical and frustrating and healing.

(Sometimes I think I’ve ruined it all, only to find out that I was a paint layer away from amazing.)

And I never think I can do another one…until I do.
